Creepy, scary sightings on the White Salmon River

It's that time of year again . . .

On Saturday, October 28th we had mummy's, skeletons, storm troopers, care bears and many more wild and crazy costumes come together for the Annual White Salmon River Halloween Paddle.

This event started 10+ years ago as just another day getting friends together to go kayaking . . . BUT, in costume!  It has now progressed into 40+ people gathering to paddle the various stretches of the WS river.

With the group size well over 40, we had the largest group I have ever seen paddling the Green Truss section (Class IV/V), while the rest of the group chose the Middle (Class III) and/or the Lower (Class II/III).

Once we were all finished paddling, we met up for some snacks and beverages and for sharing our "river stories" from the day!

What started out as just getting our friends together to paddle has now turned into an event to meet new paddlers and create a larger network in our great kayaking community!

A big thanks to World Kayak for providing some great beverages at the takeout!

See you on the river,

Heather
