Can't wait to test it out...when the water warms up a bit!
Cons - you have to push the valve in while inflating, which is kind of annoying when bobbing around in the waves. If you forgot to loosen the screw lock that prevents the valves from being pushed in, good luck trying to figure that out in the water. The spring loading is annoying when deflating too, because you can't just mash the end with your thumb as that blocks the air from escaping -- you have to pinch it and push it in. Also the valve stems are short, which makes them a bit harder to reach and more likely to pop out of your hand or mouth while inflating. As with any piece of safety gear, test it at your comfy couch before you need it, and ensure that the screw locks are backed off when you head out on the water. Pros - If (when) you lose the end of the valve from your mouth while inflating, all the air doesn't come back out. Also the valve stems are short, so they're well protected when you roll the float up. (Yes, the cons are also pros!). The self draining mesh at the bottom is kind of nice (Unless you like your paddle float to fill with water so it's heavier, which some people do). And I really like the webbing strap at the bottom of the float, which makes a very convenient handle for rolling training (you can easily hold the float and your paddle). Can't say much about durability since I've only had it a short time, but the valves seem more robust than another type that broke when someone was using it.
What do you say about a paddle float? It floats. It's well constructed and feels durable. It doesn't take much effort to inflate and attach to your paddle (we use greenland paddles). The valves are sturdy and the huge strips of reflective are a great touch for some added safety. I recommend this product.
